The UK car market fell 4.4% in 2011 to its worst year for at least a decade. Brits bought 1,941,253 vehicles last year as private motorists put off that new car purchase and stuck with their existing wheels or went secondhand. The EcoTrek Ford F-350 was built to travel around the world, not just as an off-road showpiece. The big Ford runs on algae-derived biodiesel and features everything one would need (including solar panels and a tent) for extended sojourns in the bush.
Audi of America is doing what it can to convince its German bosses to send the TT RS our way. A petition on the automaker's Facebook page says that “Audi is seriously rethinking its original plans for the range-topping TT model and wants to hear from you.”
As of Monday morning, the petition had gathered 3,742 signatures. Currently, the TT line in the United States includes only the TT and the TTS.
